Breath of the Wild 4

On to the Gerudo desert then. Now, I have to admit that in my wandering around hunting down shrines and towers, I'd already been here and managed to make my way into the Gerudo town. However, I hadn't done much of the actual story plot (much like I had with the Rito Village as well). Riju was a fun character, though she seems very sad and a little overwhelmed.
After learning of the theft, I started my way on to Karusa valley and the Yiga hideout. Which, I have to say, I very much like the design of, even if I kept getting caught. Occasionally, I have trouble in stealth sections because I get just a little too ambitious and get myself caught. That's rather what happened here. Minus the time I decided just to try to fight my way through, which I successfully did in the first room, but failed at in the second. After a little while, I finally got the hang of it and proceeded on to fight Master Kohga, who I really liked. The boss fight with him was fun, but his personality was really amusing. Poor guy, I was quite sad when he died (after I finished laughing at HOW he died).
I quite like the Yiga design. Their weapons are some of my favorites as well. I tend to almost always have a few of their windcarver blades and duplex bows in my inventory. I would like to hear more about their backstory. What little we get, that they split off from the Sheikah after the first defeat of calamity Ganon when the king betrayed them, is really quite interesting. I wonder what led them to more or less worshiping calamity ganon after that. I mean, I get hating the royal family for what they did, but I think I'd hold a grudge against calamity Ganon for causing this to happen as well.
Regardless, it was back to Gerudo Town to advance the plot. The section where we have to chase down Vah Nabooris, I didn't really like. Fortunately, if you use a bow with mutli-arrow shot, it really speeds up the process and you don't have to try to stay with Riju for very long. I really wish that she'd have let us borrow the thunder helm rather than have to do it that way.
The dungeon wasn't too bad. I liked it better than Vah Ruta, but not as well as Vah Medoh. Being able to change the multiple sections was fortunately not too complicated, but seemed pretty cool when you were doing it. That said, I HATED the Thunderblight fight. Even with the desert voe armor, it was just frustrating. Getting those stupid lightning rods near to the boss was a pain in the ass. Every time I'd try, the stupid thing would end up almost out of reach no matter what I did. The AI was obsessed with the little platforms which made it just annoying to try to get a lighting rod too. The rest of the fight was fine, but that part just seemed poorly constructed. It wouldn't have been so bad if it had been just one level for the fight, but having those small ramp and platform areas just made it a really unpleasant experience.
After that was over, I finally had all of the divine beasts finished. I really like Urbosa. She seems like the kind of person that the group needed to keep them from getting in too much trouble. Plus she was an amazing fighter.
